Sara Evans

Sara Evans has only had one lifelong dream she has always wanted to compose and sing in the country genre. Evans told John Meroney, of American Enterprise: "God placed me in this place to sing." "It's what I am passionate about to do more than anything which is why I'm determined to achieve it happen." Evans was also determined to become successful in reviving the traditional style of country music that was popularized by legends such as Patsy Cline and Hank Snow. She was also influenced through George Jones, Tammy Wynette as well as Patty Loveless. Evans was born in 1970, was able to make her mark in the second half of the 90s the time when many of the country music's aspiring singers turned to modern pop songs. It is evident through her first album released in 1997, True Lies. True Lies, though it received positive reviews and was nominated by the Academy of Country Music for the top female vocalist of 1998 but failed to create an impression. Evans is set to release her follow-up album was in the year 1999. No Place That Far resulted from her bowing to producers who convinced that she needed to expand her selection of songs.
